1. Introduction
Seny Maritime EOOD (UIC/EIK 208587893, VAT BG208587893) operates senymaritime.com and the SENY customer portal, and acts as the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. This document explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data, and the rights you have over it.
2. Personal data you provide
You may provide personal data through our forms, by email, or when registering for services:
- Contact and quote requests: name, email, phone, company / vessel, country, your message
- Account data: login email, name, phone, billing address, VAT number
- Identification documents (passport/ID) — only where required for service activation or equipment transfer
- Payment references (bank transfer details, payment confirmations). Card data is processed by our payment provider and never stored by us
By voluntarily submitting this information you consent to its processing as described in this policy.
Providing contact and billing data is necessary to conclude and perform the service contract — without it we cannot activate or invoice the service. All other data (e.g. marketing consent) is optional.
3. Automatically collected technical data
When you use our website we automatically collect limited technical data — IP address, domain name, browser type and device information — used to keep the site functional and secure.
4. Non-identifiable & aggregated data
We collect anonymous, aggregated data (traffic patterns, usage trends, page statistics) that cannot identify you personally. We use it to understand how our services are used and to improve them.
5. Location information
For clients of our connectivity service, we process Starlink terminal identifiers, data-usage volumes and terminal status/position — this is required to deliver, meter and invoice the service and to show your own usage in the portal. Location data is not shared with other users without your permission.
6. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
We rely on: consent (contact forms, marketing communications, non-essential cookies), performance of a contract (providing the service, billing, support), legitimate interests (security, service improvement) and legal obligations (accounting and tax law).
7. Purposes of processing
- Responding to inquiries and quote requests
- Activating, delivering and supporting connectivity services
- Metering usage, issuing invoices and processing payments
- Operating the customer portal (usage dashboards, notifications)
- Maintaining security and preventing fraud or abuse
- Complying with accounting, tax and other legal obligations
9. Analytics services
We may use third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics or similar technologies) to collect anonymized information about how visitors use our website, via cookies. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can additionally opt out via your browser or the provider's opt-out tools.
10. Children's data
Our services are intended for businesses and adult individuals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18. Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor their children's internet use. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Invoicing and accounting records are retained for the periods required by Bulgarian law (up to 10 years). Usage records are kept for billing history and dispute resolution.
12. Disclosure of your personal data
We share personal data only where necessary:
- Connectivity partners — Starlink service management for your terminal
- Payment providers — processing card payments and payment links
- IT / hosting / communication providers — website hosting, email delivery, service notifications
- Affiliates and successors — in the event of a business transfer or reorganisation
- Authorities — where required by law
We are not in the business of selling your information and do not commercially exploit personal data.
13. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
14. Information security
We apply appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards against unauthorized access, alteration or misuse: encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, hashed credentials and least-privilege access. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data accordingly.
15. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, erase data, restrict or object to processing, data portability, to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing), and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any right, email privacy@senymaritime.com.
16. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on you. Usage metering and invoicing are calculated automatically but always reviewed by our team before issue.
17. Marketing communications
We send marketing communications only with your consent (the optional checkbox on our forms). You can opt out at any time via the link in any message or by emailing us. Service messages (invoices, plan changes, security notices) are sent as part of the contract.
18. Links to other websites
This policy applies only to Seny Maritime websites and services. Our pages may contain links to third-party websites; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies.
19. Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates are posted on this page with a revised date; continued use of our services after changes indicates acceptance. Material changes will be highlighted.
20. Data Protection Officer (DPO)
A Data Protection Officer is not appointed, as it is not required for our processing activities under the GDPR. Privacy questions are handled at the contact email below.

This policy may be provided in other languages for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the English version prevails.
Data processors (sub-processors)
To provide the service we share the minimum necessary data with the following processors: Stripe (card payments — card data never touches our servers), IONOS (email delivery, SMTP), our hosting provider (server infrastructure, EU), Telegram (optional bot notifications, only if you use the bot), and our satellite connectivity partner (technical antenna identifiers required to provision the service). Each processor is bound by its own GDPR data-processing terms.
How long we keep your data (retention)
Invoices and accounting records — 10 years (Bulgarian Accountancy Act). Consent records — 5 years. Website analytics — 14 months. Audit log — 24 months. Bot conversation history — 12 months. Older records are deleted automatically. Account data is kept while your account is active and removed or anonymized after closure, except where the law requires longer retention.
Your rights & how to use them
You have the right to access and receive a copy of your personal data, to correct it, and to request deletion of your account. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@senymaritime.com from your registered address — we verify the request and respond within 30 days. Deletion anonymizes your personal data; invoices remain for the legally required 10 years without a link to you. You may also close your account from your portal profile. Complaints: the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP, cpdp.bg).
